Today we began to harvest the potatoes. From the rows we have done, I can tell that we have a great crop. The sandwiches for our land lunch hike were amazing. At the bird blind some people saw woodpeckers and dark eyed juncos. Everywhere signs of winter slowly approach. A frost appeared on the ground this morning making it hard to walk on. Throughout the farm everyone bundles up and tries to keep warm. But when you are in the fields the sun warms you, your sweatshirt lies forgotten on the ground.
