Hello Eaters!
We have been having a hot week here. As a result, things that require heat to grow and thrive are doing just that. Last week we harvested about 1/3 of a bushel of cucumbers. This week we will harvest twice, once on Tuesday and once on Thursday. On Tuesday, we harvested 3 bushels! It is an understatement to say that the cukes are going nuts.
Laura and John and Michael Connelly had a great work day on the 14th. They pulled all the soft neck garlic, in anticipation of easier braiding on the 21st. Let's see if that helps.
Here is what I see coming:
Cucumbers
Zucchini and Summer Squash
Salad Mix
Beets
Chard
Kale
Herbs (basil, cilantro, dill, parsley)
Cut flowers
Green Beans
Onions (Big White Sweet Spanish Onions - YUM!!!)
Scallions
Fresh Garlic
New Red Potatoes
Fennel
Pigweed??
